Have you heard milk isn’t just good for building strong bones and teeth, it can actually improve a child’s IQ (even before they’re born).
A report in The Telegraph states that women “who consumed lower amounts of iodine, which is absorbed from food and found in milk, dairy products and fish, were more likely to have children with lower IQs and reading abilities”.
It’s great to hear milk being mentioned alongside fish in reports about food that is good for us. For too long the role of dairy in our diets has been misunderstood thanks largely to over-simplistic messages about the fat that it contains. So, mums drink up and make sure your kids are fit, healthy and clever too!
