I have been invited to discuss the objectives of Free Range Dairy with Steven Lowe on BBC Radio Lancashire this Sunday (28th April) at around 12.45pm.

We have had good support for the initiative from Lancashire and I am planning a further meeting for members in the north-west later next month. I am really encouraged by how receptive people are to the Free Range Dairy concept, with consumers enquiring where they can source free range milk, processors evaluating the opportunity to source free range milk and farmers wanting to supply it.

There has never been a better time to promote our pasture-based dairy herds. Our cows deserve the freedom to graze, people want healthy milk and farmers need to earn a fair share of the retail price. Let’s make it happen!

I will post a link to the BBC Radio Lancashire programme on our website after the weekend.
