BRITISH FARMERS

The problem we have had with all our milk and meat lately is we get paid a price below the cost of production.
It’s about the whole farming industry. This has made us realise we have to engage much more with consumers if we are to get a fair price for farmers. We haven’t really worked on this and, as a result, farmers have been driven out of business. We know our supply chain robs us of any value in our farming. So we want to change this. The more we communicate direct with British consumers the better. We have already made sure our livestock are well cared for and the quality of our food is extremely high. For farmers to continue to deliver the best food to our nation and stay in business we need your support.
We know this because for far too long our milk has been treated as an undervalued commodity to lure people into supermarkets.
We want everyone to be able to enjoy the fantastic food that comes from our fields. All we ask for is a fair price.
We know we have failed to promote all that is good about our farms. We know we have to explain much more about what we do and how we care for our cows.
If you want to find out more about your food ask a farmer.
Good food never changes – it’s always been here.
